to the Beaux Arts Ball, Daphne and Brenda have their gowns
designed by Brenda’s friend, couturier Christian. Brenda is
set to dazzle in black, while white is the color chosen for
Daphne. As Brenda jets to Australia after a lead, Daphne
“borrows” Brenda’s gown and steals the spotlight in
strapless black velvet with silver scrollwork embroidery and
clear sequins. Her gauntlet style “half-sleeves” are
equally lush with embroidery. Daphne completes her ensemble
with dazzling “diamonds” given to her by a Princely
admirer.
